Eugene Kleiner was an Austrian-born engineer and venture capitalist who co-founded Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers — arguably the most influential venture capital firm in Silicon Valley history, backing Google, Amazon, Genentech, and dozens of other transformative companies.
