Eugene Shvidler is a Russian-British businessman born in Ufa, Bashkortostan (USSR) who became one of the key figures in Russia's post-Soviet privatisation boom. As Abramovich's right-hand man, he co-built Sibneft into one of Russia's largest oil companies before the $13 billion sale to Gazprom.
